Fish & Chips

Ingredient
  • 600gm white fish fillet, sliced
  • 150gm plain flour
  • 250ml soda water
  • extra flour for coating
Method
  1. Marinate fish fillet lightly with salt & black pepper.
  2. Stir soda water into plain flour until a smooth batter formed.
  3. Coat lightly fish fillet with some flour followed by flour batter, shake away excess.
  4. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain well on kitchen paper. Serve warm with tartar sauce & chips.

Coleslaw - Cabbage, carrots, cranberries, raisins & coleslaw dressing

Hi peng.

Just curious, what kinda fish did u use? I bought frozen cod from giant once and made fish and chips but the fish din taste tt good. I wonder y.

Hi Nagina, i also bought frozen fish fillet from supermarket @ Primes, but the fish taste fine to me, no frozen nor fishy smell. Recently I bought a slice of fresh halibut from NTUC Extra which is quite ex abt S$4 plus.
